Everything you need to know about using TweetReplier to supercharge your Twitter engagement.
Getting Started
Installation
- Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for "TweetReplier"
- Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm the installation
- Pin the extension to your toolbar for easy access
- Navigate to Twitter/X and you're ready to go!
Initial Setup
After installation, click the TweetReplier icon to configure:
- API Key: Enter your OpenRouter API key (or sign up for a TweetReplier account)
- Profile: Add context about yourself, your writing style, and topics you care about
- Preferences: Choose your default tone and creator style
Basic Usage
Generating a Reply
- Browse Twitter and find a tweet you want to reply to
- Look for the TweetReplier inline bar that appears below tweets
- Optionally paste source content or add your angle/perspective
- Select your desired tone (or use Auto-tone)
- Click "Generate Reply"
- Review the generated reply and click to insert it into Twitter's composer
Creating New Tweets
- Click the TweetReplier extension icon
- Navigate to the "New Tweet" tab
- Enter your idea, topic, or paste source content
- Choose your tone and length (short/medium/long)
- Generate and copy to Twitter
Customization
User Profile
Your profile helps TweetReplier understand your voice:
- Description: Who you are, what you do
- Topics: Your areas of expertise and interest
- Style: Casual, professional, humorous, thoughtful, or bold
- Emoji Usage: Frequent, moderate, minimal, or none
- Hashtags: Whether you use hashtags

- Auto: AI analyzes the tweet and picks the best tone automatically

TweetReplier's source-first approach lets you generate replies based on real content:
- Find an article, study, or blog post you want to reference
- Copy the URL or paste relevant excerpts into the source field
- Optionally add your angle or perspective
- Generate a reply that references your source authentically
Auto DM
Automatically send personalized DMs when users engage with your tweets:
Setup
- Open TweetReplier settings → Auto DM tab
- Enable Auto DM and choose triggers (retweet, reply, like)
- Customize your DM message template
- Set daily limits (max 750/day on Pro plan)
Best Practices
- Keep messages short and genuine
- Add value, don't just say "thanks"
- Use sparingly to avoid seeming spammy
- Monitor your daily stats to stay within limits
Troubleshooting
Extension Not Showing Up
- Refresh the Twitter page (Cmd/Ctrl + R)
- Check if the extension is enabled in
chrome://extensions - Make sure you're on twitter.com or x.com
Replies Not Generating
- Check your usage limit in the extension popup
- Verify your API key is correct (if using OpenRouter)
- Make sure you have an active internet connection
Text Not Inserting
- Click directly on Twitter's reply box first
- Use the "Copy" button as a fallback
- Refresh the page and try again
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data private?
Yes. Your API key is stored locally. Generated replies are only logged for authenticated users (for quality improvement) and can be disabled.
Can I use my own AI models?
Yes! Use your own OpenRouter API key to access any models they support.
Does it work on mobile?
TweetReplier is a Chrome extension, so it only works on desktop Chrome/Chromium browsers.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel your subscription from your account dashboard. No questions asked.
